Pilgrimage to Babaji's Cave
April 10 - April 13
“‘Lahiri, you have come!’
The saint addressed me affectionately in Hindi.
‘Rest here in this cave. It was I who called you.’
“I entered a neat little grotto which contained several woolen blankets and a few kamandulus (begging bowls).
“‘Lahiri, do you remember that seat?’
The yogi pointed to a folded blanket in one corner."
We are transported in time and space through this beautiful account of the divine meeting between Mahavatar Babaji & Lahiri Mahasaya by Paramhansa Yogananda in the book Autobiography of a Yogi. This pilgrimage offers you the opportunity to meditate in this sacred cave and draw the blessings of Babaji.
PILGRIMAGE ITINERARY
April 10: Day 1: Train from Delhi to Kathgodam
Take a bus from Kathgodam, drive to Kainchi Dham, Neem Karoli Baba’s Ashram and Temple (approx. 1.5 hours drive), meditate and proceed to Ranikhet (approx. 2 hour from Kainchi Dham)
Reach hotel, partake refreshments, gather for orientation and a short meditation followed by dinner.
April 11: Day 2: Meditation @ Babaji Cave
Gather for morning meditation followed by breakfast.
Drive to Babaji Cave (approx. 1.5 hour drive).
Packed lunch will be carried for this day.
After the cave, visit Dunagiri temple (located 14 kms far from Dwarahat). The temple is dedicated to goddess Durga.
Return to Hotel and have tea/ Coffee followed by a bonfire kirtan, dinner.
April 12: Day 3: Seclusion
Gather for morning meditation followed by breakfast.
This will be a day of seclusion, taking the vibrations of the pilgrimage deeper; You can take forest walks, be in silence, meditate long, journal your experiences.
We will close with group sharing over tea followed by meditation/kirtan and dinner.
April 13: Day 4: Return Train to Kathgodam
Gather for morning meditation & breakfast.
Drive to Kathgodam station (approx 4 hours) and take the train to Delhi followed by flight back to Pune.
